In this video, we take you to Boudha Stupa or Boudhanath in Kathmandu. This marvellous stupa is UNESCO World Heritage Site and is the largest spherical stupa in the world. It is one of the major pilgrimage sites for Buddhists from around the world. Hindus also like to visit and offer prayers here.

Boudha Stupa or Boudhanath is on top of one of the things to do in Kathmandu or for sight seeing activities for tourists in Kathmandu, Nepal.

We also were lucky enough to catch the glimpse of the Gai Jatra / Ropai Jatra festival at the Boudhanath Stupa and the amazing fold dance to celebrate it.

This video is in continuation to our Nepal trip series, where we showed the beautiful Hyatt Regency Hotel in Kathmandu, Nepal in our last one. The 5-star property is located in the heart of the city. Spread out in an area of 37 acres, this hotel is just 4 kms away from the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu.

This is the same hotel where various dignitaries like Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Late Indian President Pranab Mukherji have also stayed on their respective Nepal visits.

The famous Bollywood movie - Baby - featuring Akshay Kumar and Tapsee Pannu was also shot in the same hotel.

It boasts of some very amazing fine dining options with restaurants like Rox Restaurant, The Living Room and a bar - Rox bar situated inside the hotel.

The hotel is based in a premises where The Taragaon Museum is also located and has a separate entry for the same. It also has a wonderful cafe - Flavors situated near the museum.

The lush green gardens, huge swimming pool, spa, gym, casino are some of the other highlights of this amazing hotel.

And above all, the view of sacred Boudha Stupa from the hotel room is so mesmerising and brings a divine feeling within self, whenever you look out of the window.

The Himalayan mountain ranges are also visible from the room and one can find hundreds of birds chirping within the hotel premises which makes it such a serene experience.

One of the most beautiful part of the hotel is the central area of the main lobby where there are 9 stupas/chaityas of Nepal constructed in the exact same manner like the actual stupas from Patan and Kathmandu.
