The Poltergeist of the Isle of Man / Gef the Talking Mongoose - Paralopedia

In September 1931, the Irving family, of the Isle of Man, started hearing persistent scratching, rustling, and vocal noises behind their farmhouse's wooden wall panels. It might sound like a classic poltergeist. But soon the entity that had been making all the noise revealed itself to be Gef, later to be known as Gef the talking mongoose or the Dalby Spook. Gef claimed to be an "Earthbound spirit" and "a ghost in the form of a mongoose". According to Gef it was born in New Delhi, India, in 1852. Though, there is a lack of evidence to support that Gef really did exsist, the family claimed that Gef was real until they died.
