Making a Bridge

This is a tutorial on how to make a model of the Fort Pitt bridge. By drawing 4 components of the bridge (2 sides, 1 arc and 1 road) you can easily assemble them to make a bridge. If you want you can also substitute cardboard for the road rather than doodling it.

Next steps, beyond just making the bridge you can try doing experiments like what is the maximum weight the bridge can take? Can you use less than 4 strands to make the bridge. How could you make a stronger bridge. What are some other bridge types and can you make them? You can also increase or decrease the size of the stencel when printing it out based off what you are doing with it.
