My fibroid surgery story.
A lot of people ask what a fibroids are when their doctor tells they they have them. This is the story of when I found out I had fibroids and why I finally decided to get surgery (open myomectomy) after waiting several years.
I went to 3 doctors in 2 states all to deal with 1 large fibroid.
This is my experience how I found out I had a fibroid and my decision to remove it.

I had an open myomectomy in July of 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic.. which made things a little more interesting.

I had my surgery at The Women’s Hospital in the Texas Medical Center.

(I am NOT a doctor.. this is just my experience)
