In 2019 Major League Baseball suspended Chicago White Sox player Tim Anderson for using the N-word but his teammates and players across baseball thought it was silly because of the common use of the word today. Dr. Neal Lester who has taught college courses at ASU on the N-word, disagrees. What ensues is a frank discussion about the history of the word, it's use by millennials and in hip hop, and why it's not like any other curse word. George Carlin's "7 Words you'll never hear on television" is used as a background to the discussion of words and their meaning.
