Описание к видео Desk Tour V1.1 | 30/12/2014 | HD

Basic Script:

Hello YouTube and today I have another desk tour for you. The last one I did was in 2012 and a few items have changed since then, so I thought I would keep you updated with my setup. I have made videos about most of the products on my desk, so be sure to click the annotations.
Starting at the top we have a simple decorative clapper board which I don’t actually use, but maybe I should get some chalk and fill it in. The desk itself is exactly the same as my last tour. Firstly, you’ll notice I still have my bamboo plant, it is a lot bigger now and I have decorated it with some nice fairly lights for a nice dusk atmosphere in the evening. The biggest difference that you’ll probably notice is that I now have two screens. I have upgraded to the and moved the old 4:3 monitor that I had before to the side and use it as a second screen. Dual screens is awesome for video editing as well as everyday tasks and I find it difficult when I have to go back to editing on a workstation that only has one screen. Here you can see that while editing I have my tracks on the left screen and then a nice large preview on the right which is really useful. On top of the right screen I also have my Logitech webcam which I sometimes use for skype calls. My speakers are still the same Fujitsu Siemens set which are still working really well. Obviously not fabulous sound quality, however adequate for personal use in this small area. Keeping with the theme of sound, on the left hand side of my desk I have the Behringer C1 microphone which I use for all my narrations, it is plugged into the Behringer Xenyx 1202 mixing desk which provides phantom power to the condenser microphone. The output from the desk heads round the back of my monitors into the Zoom H1 which is being used as an Audio Interface. I could plug the desk straight into my computers integrated audio card however the H1 provides a higher quality sound. Under my monitors I have the Samsung slim Blu-ray drive which I use to read and burn all sorts of discs. as well as a super-accurate radio controlled alarm clock, except for some reason, it is an hour out? In terms of computer peripherals I am using the Microsoft 600 wired keyboard with a Logitech wired mouse. Some people ask why do I not use wireless peripherals? And the simple answer is there’s no need to in this situation. The whole work station is being powered by my custom built video editing PC. I have also performed upgrades to the PC since my last video about it so click the annotation on your screen now to see that video. As always, if you have any questions, drop them in the comments below. Other than that, thanks for watching and I’ll see you in the next video.
