Today I am sharing a Chhath Puja Special Recipe with you- Thekua!
Thekua is a traditional prasad that is made for Chhath Puja.
Thekua who is the original Indian biscuit which is crunchy and crispy. Thekua is made using Whole wheat flour jaggery ghee and not butter and the Thekua is deep fried instead of being baked. This Thekua recipe gives you the perfect measurements so that every time you get the perfect crispy crunchy thekua.
Traditionally Thekua is shaped in a leaf pattern and most Bihari homes will have a mould to create the thekua. But today I have shared a Thekua recipe with you in which I have shared a trick as to how you can get the perfect leaf shaped tikka without using any moulds.
The thekua has a very long shelf life and does not spoil easily. It can be stored for over a fortnight.
