2 HRs Watching Airplanes, Aircraft Identification | Plane Spotting Sydney Airport [SYD/YSSY] #2

Описание к видео 2 HRs Watching Airplanes, Aircraft Identification | Plane Spotting Sydney Airport [SYD/YSSY] #2

Sydney Airport is the busiest airport in Australia and also the most interesting with countless jumbo jets and international routes. The airport like all Australia Airports, is busiest in the mornings and the evenings. This video begins on a rainy morning from the top floor of the international carpark. This spot is my favourite to film from at Sydney Airport as it provides a brilliant and interesting background for the aircraft approaching. You get a wonderful view of the whole airport and also the CBD. For the keen eyed viewers, you can even see the peak of the Sydney Harbour Bridge on the left side of the CBD!

The first half of the video was filmed earlier this year in May, when the British Airways flights were still brand new and Singapore Airlines had only recently upgraded their afternoon service to an A380, which was very exciting to catch. The second half of the video was filmed at the end of 2020, when Australia was closed to international travel, so most of these aircraft are operating as freight flights. One thing you will notice in this video is the old China Southern Airbus A380s which have now unfortunately been retired. During COVID, Sydney was one of the only airports in the world to have scheduled A380 flights, which we're the weekly CZ A380s flying between CAN-SYD on a Wednesday morning!

The goal of this video is to preserve history and to look back on what 2020 looked like in the heart of the pandemic in a very restricted country for international travel like Australia and also to show the significant increase in traffic earlier this year in comparison!
