Hi and welcome to the final part of this refurbish project!

If you missed part 1, here you go:    • Refurbishing a neglected Suzuki GS 50...
Here's part 2:    • Refurbishing a neglected Suzuki GS 50...
And part 3:    • Refurbishing a neglected Suzuki GS 50...
Part 4:    • Refurbishing a neglected Suzuki GS 50...
Part 5:    • Refurbishing a neglected Suzuki GS 50...

In this last part, the bike finally gets completed, I take it to get technical inspection (TÜV), check and adjust the valve clearances, synch the carburettors....

And in the end, my friend – who I built this bike for – came to pick it up!
He got his motorcycle license 12 years ago together with his car license, and has been dreaming of riding ever since. It just didn't work all that time.
Then we got chatting and I agreed to build his bike. I had played with the idea to make some kind of video series like this about rebuilding bikes and filming it – and since he's got a bit experience wit YouTube he helped me out a bit with tips on what to do.
Before I picked him up at the bus station, we never met before – we only ever chatted and talked on Teamspeak or WhatsApp before. We know each other through gaming.

Since his "riding school" was a long time ago, I also agreed – or rather insisted – on training him. I made him read a book about all the theoretical groundwork for riding techniques and set up some riding exercises which we'd go through. As you can see, he very quickly made sense of it all and on his first real day of riding almost eliminated all of his "chicken strips". Which is a very impressive thing for a beginner, as I would say.

After a night of camping, we headed back to Munich, as he went on his way back home to Berlin.

I'm kinda sorry that this video series got so long, but I always had the dilemma of wanting to show everything what I did – and not make the whole thing be hours long. I think, there is a visible progression of my editing along the parts of this series, as I got more used to it by the end.

And now some facts regarding play time:
All of the raw material that I filmed for this series has a combined playtime of 20 hours, 13 minutes and 52 seconds.
All of the resulting parts that I edited and uploaded to YouTube have a combined playtime of "just" 1h 52m 1s – so you're "only" watching a little bit more than 9 % of what I actually filmed. Time warps/Time lapses are not taken into account.

Please enjoy! Leave your feedback, it is much appreciated!
Thanks for watching!
