In the past few months, Islamic State group has begun targeting the religious and cultural history of Iraq and Syria. The group has destroyed religious archeological sites including Hatra, Niniveh and Nimrud.

Many questions arise from this. Such as Where or who are the stolen artefacts being sold to? Why are ISIS destroying these sites and With the middle East being so rich in history, why are only Syria and Iraq being targeted?
