The Holy Birthplace of Sri Ramkrishna Paramhansa & Ma Sarada

Kamarpukur Ramkrishna Mission and Jairambati Ramkrishna Mission - both the Mission Centres are very serene and peaceful holy places to visit in West Bengal. We have a long desire to visit these places. Recently we went to Digha to see Sea Beach. Stayed there for 2 days, and then decided to go to Kamarpukur and Jairambati. We availed South Bengal Bus and reached Kamarpukur at 2:30 pm. Finally, our dream comes true.

I have a long wish to visit Ramkrishna's birthplace. We booked a room just opposite Ramkrishna Mission. The room is well furnished and the bathroom is clean and spacious. So no problem. The rent is only four hundred only. We stayed there for two days. The next day we hired a Toto vehicle to visit Jairambati. Jairambati is very close to Kamarpukur. The distance between the two places is four km. It took only one and half hours to visit all the places. Sarada Devi ( Ma Sarada was born there. We went to see the Aamodar river where Ma Sarada used to bathe with her family and friends. There is a beautiful eco park. Kamarpukur was the estates of Laha Babu. So the market is named after his name - Lahababur Bazar. We enjoyed a lot there.
We took lunch ( prosad ) in the Ramkrishna Mission. It was very nice.
There are some hotels in Kamarpukur. These are budget hotels rented from 600 to 1000 Rs.
