Upgrading a Federal Pacific Panel to a Square D 'QO' Panel | Leonardo, NJ.

Описание к видео Upgrading a Federal Pacific Panel to a Square D 'QO' Panel | Leonardo, NJ.

In this video I replace an old (and dangerous) sub panel. Federal Pacific Electric was a company that manufactured electrical panels right here in New Jersey. Unfortunately, many of their designs were faulty with conductor bending space which led to overheating and some even causing fires. Their circuit breakers often didn't trip as well and in the late 1980's a NJ family brought on a class-action suit against the company. FPE is no longer in business but many of their electrical panels are still in use. Today we make this house A LOT safer by replacing the old faulty panel with a Square D 'QO' panel.
