How to Fix a Pipe Leak:
Water leaks and broken pipes can be a big problem for any homeowner. Because water in supply pipes is under pressure (normally about 50 pounds per square inch), if a pipe or fitting springs a leak, the water usually sprays out with considerable force.

Apply a pipe repair clamp according to the package instructions—this usually involves centering a rubber sleeve over the leak in the pipe and then bolting the two-part clamp in place over the sleeve.

HDPE Pipe Repair Steps:
1) Rough the HDPE around the problem area with sandpaper.
2) Drill a hole at each end of the crack so that internal pressure will not cause the crack to expand.
3) Clean with any cleaner that will not leave a residue. Dry thoroughly. Apply Poly Prep adhesion promoter on the area of pipe to be bonded.
4) Spray the Activator/Accelerator (AA) on the prepped area. Let the AA dry.
5) Apply the SI Blue to the Tech-Patch with continuous circles EXCEPT on diagonal corners. Paying special attention to having the adhesive reach the edges.
6) Grab the diagonal corners on the Tech-Patch, apply tension.
7) Press the Tech-Patch to the problem area on the HDPE.
8) Use the glue squeegee to apply firm pressure to the Tech-Patch from the center out.
9) Bond the diagonal edges to the HDPE with the SI Blue Spray with AA.
10) Apply a bead of the SI Blue to the perimeter of the Tech-Patch. Spray with AA.
11) Visually inspect.

High Density Polyethene (HDPE):

High Density Polyethylene, a thermoplastic, is used for plastic bottles and plastic pipes,
tanks and containers. Polyethylene is the most commonly used polymer and comes in
various forms; HDPE, Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE or simply polyethylene) among
others. Like all other polymers, HDPE is difficult to glue. High Density Polyethylene,
however, is easily bonded to itself, to other polymers and/or to other substrates* with
our patented Polymer Bonding Process (patented).

AGRICULTURAL WATER MANAGEMENT:

Agricultural water management (AWM) seeks to use water in a way that provides crops and animals the amount of water they need, enhances productivity, and conserves natural resources for the benefit of downstream users and ecosystem services.

Why Agricultural Water Management Matters

Although AWM includes irrigation, it is not simply about applying water. It includes soil, land, and ecosystem conservation practices, such as drainage and watershed management; fisheries management; and technologies for lifting, storing, and conveying water. Traditional AWM was concerned with improving the efficiency of water use in large-scale irrigation schemes in which the objective was to control, not manage, water. As larger numbers of farmers are investing in small-scale irrigation systems, and regulation is either absent or uncoordinated, there is a need for improved practices.
