I was inspired to write this song as a nod to back when I was in high school and also for a while during my 20s regarding being in the 'friendzone.'

The story:
"The Invisible Boyfriend" is an R&B/pop anthem about a guy who’s always been there for a girl—listening, supporting, and caring—only to be stuck in the friend zone while she chases other guys. He realizes he’s been overlooked for too long and decides he’s done waiting. The song builds from frustration to empowerment, shifting from "Why don’t you see me?" to "I’m done being left behind!"

The hook reinforces this transformation, turning the song into a sing-along anthem for every guy who’s ever felt unseen. By the end, he reclaims his worth, stepping out of the shadows and into the spotlight—ready to be somebody’s first choice.

Been there done that and thankfully at the time of writing, have not experienced this in a long time!
