We’ve had a spectacular summer here in our Upstate NY Zone 6A garden, but the time has come to transition into fall! Today we’re refreshing the three urn planters under our Carding Mill standard roses with bold new colors—pairing purple asters, Hannah Orange mums, ornamental peppers, and cool cabbages for a fresh autumn look.

While we plant, we’re also tackling a practical challenge: making it easier to water these front containers.
