Alright, so starting a recruiting agency can be downright confusing as anything you’ve ever done. There are so many moving pieces and so many ways you can go about it. Luckily there’s me. You’re favorite startup recruiter advisor who’s churned through it all to give you some insight on what you actually NEED that will make you money. ….Trust me, I’ve tried it all.

So, Let’s dive right in and I’ll give you the tools/software/subscriptions that WORK and nothing more. Hopefully this list adds some value for you, if so don’t be shy about that LIKE button.

LINKEDIN SALES NAVIGATOR- Okay okay, I know I covered this in a previous video, but seriously it’s making an appearance again. If you do not have this version of LinkedIn, you’re doing it wrong, you’re missing out, full stop. GET IT.

INDEED RESUME FINDER- This is an awesome tool that costs about $250/month and gives you 100 resume views per month, meaning you can type in the criteria filter down to what you want in a candidate and see all of those candidates and ….wait for it, YES you can even contact them, all for free, you just have to pay $250/mo

Let me tell you why Indeed resume finder is so cool, so create your own job proposals, to send out to like 50 people at a time if you want and they get it all at the same time, now in the proposal you must put the words, “if this position isn’t the right fit for you please click the decline button and I will take you off of my list”- when they hit the decline button your actually get that credit back! So if you sent out 50 messages to resumes you thought were awesome and they all denied or declined, boom you just got fifty resumes credits back, I’ve used this a ton and have never had an issue with running out of credits by doing this.

INDEED JOB POSTINGS - I love posting jobs on Indeed because I tend to get the best candidates there rather than zip recruiter or career builder or monster or anything like that (those are out dated), Indeed has it all…trust me. You just set a daily budget on an ad and let it run.

CRAIGSLIST—Yes, contrary to popular belief craigslist is very much alive and well and spitting out amazing candidates for all of my general labor needs, I’m talking 5-8 quality candidates for a $45 ad. This is huge! But really, keep this to your low level roles, you aren’t going to find an accountant on craigslist. The craigslist ads i pay for are for people that work in logistics, transportation and administrative etc. Be mindful of what platform you use, something might be more suitable for Indeed….

CRM - I’m only going to touch on this for a bit, because really it’s a very personal preference type of deal, some people are very particular and I only have two that I will mention which are Hubspot and Crelate. So here’s the deal, Hubspot is free and is versatile but limited, you can get by with it and it works great. Crelate is $80/mo and offers a lot more in terms of functionality and features such as instant job board posting when you post a job within your CRM, they blast it out to indeed, monster, career builder etc, (pretty cool) So, with CRM it’s a give and take, what do you want vs. what are you willing to pay for?

So I know these things cost money, which is exactly what I’m making this video, so that you know where and what to spend your hard earned money on in order to start up successfully. Lots of these offer free trials so I wold definitely take advantage of that. At the end of the day it costs money to make money and eventually you get to a place where you’re making far more money x50-100 than what your cost is, so don’t be skiddish and not invest in some solid tools to get going.

I truly hope that this video was valuable for you and helps you make some decisions on what to use and what not to use. Pleas believe me that I don’t get paid to hype up any of these, but Jesus I should…Anyways SMASH THAT LIKE BUTTON AND SUBSCRIBE IF NOT ALREADY!
