The current economic growth in Korea would not have been achieved if there were not innovative SMEs, which make our innovative ecosystem very vibrant, active, and stronger. With immense investment in R&D, Korea has tried to encourage innovative SMEs to initiate new experiments and start new businesses, and helped them to survive in fierce competition in the global age. Some of such attempts were successful while others were not so successful. This presentation addresses what Korea has achieved and experienced, which can be a good example or reference, or policy guidelines for its global partners.
