A man suspected of felony harassment was killed in a deputy-involved shooting in the South Hill area of unincorporated Pierce County near Puyallup early Monday.

Pierce County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) deputies were called to the 8500 block of 156th St Ct E at 2:01 a.m. after someone called 911 and said a man in a vehicle had fired a gunshot outside their home.

When deputies arrived, they found the vehicle with a man sleeping inside.

After speaking with the victims, deputies found probable cause to arrest the man. Deputies approached the vehicle to talk to the man, and shortly after, called out that shots had been fired.
