The "Parker Square" Miracle Sudoku

** TODAY'S PUZZLE **
8 years ago, ‪@numberphile‬ released a video in which Matt Parker (‪@standupmaths‬ ) talked about his attempt to create a 3x3 magic square made out of different square numbers. His attempt was christened a "Parker Square" by Brady Haran and has come to be associated with noble failure.
In tonight's video, we attempt to solve Blashyrkh's sudoku, The Parker Miracle - a 6x6 puzzle which Blashyrkh attempted to create with absolutely nothing in the grid but, in the end, needed a single inequality sign. It's an absolutely extraordinary attempt and features a logical path that it seemed nature intended us to find!

Rules:
Normal 6x6 sudoku rules apply. (Place the digits 1 to 6, once each, in every row, column and outlined box). Boxes are numbered in normal reading order. Orthogonally adjacent digits must not sum to their box number(s). For example, r2c4 and r3c4 must not sum to 2 or 4. Additionally, diagonally adjacent digits within the same box must not sum to their box number. The inequality sign points to the lower digit.
