Admission Process in LAHDC Kargil Hostels Streamlined: ADC Kargil


In Ladakh, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kargil, Imteeaz Kacho, informed that the admission process in hostels run by the LAHDC Kargil at Srinagar and Jammu has been streamlined, making the system more transparent and efficient.

He said the response to the ongoing admission process has been overwhelming, with a large number of applications received. ADC Kacho added that efforts are being made to make the system more dynamic and student-friendly.

“Our motive is to provide a conducive environment for students so they can focus better on their studies and emerge as better individuals,” he stated.

He further informed that the hostels have a total capacity of 440 students, out of which 260 seats are currently vacant. Entrance examinations are being conducted to fill these vacancies, with examination centers established in Kargil as well as at the respective hostels in Srinagar and Jammu.

The ADC also mentioned that the recruitment exams advertised earlier are expected to be held in November, and centers for these will also be set up in the hostels at Srinagar and Jammu for the convenience of students.
