At the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the India AI Impact Expo, emphasizing that India's advancements in artificial intelligence are driven by both ambition and responsibility. The Prime Minister committed to a human-centric approach to AI technology. The event, organized by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, features over 400 exhibitors and delegates from 100 countries. Vice President Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan noted that India aims to bridge the technological gap between the Global North and the Global South. Additionally, Union Minister Shri Jayan Chaudhary launched the 'Skill India Assistant' and the 'SOAR' framework to prepare the workforce for AI integration. The summit also introduced a casebook on AI's impact on agriculture and commenced the 'AI by Her Global Impact Challenge' for women researchers. India Today Group also marked the occasion by debuting 'Sutra', its new AI-driven news anchor designed to provide real-time synthesis of complex summit discussions.
