Are you in a polyamorous or open relationship? Have you or your partner ever experienced jealousy in your polyamorous or open relationship? Often times we think polyamory can't work in the face of jealousy. That's not true. I can honestly say that because I am poly and I do experience jealousy from time to time, so do my poly partners. I think we all do, regardless of what kind of relationship structure we are in. Granted, the more partners you have, the more tendency for jealousy to come up in your poly relationships. I have learned to befriend the jealousy that comes with being poly rather than judge it or shame myself for having it. Jealousy is an emotion, just like happiness, joy, anger, fear, etc. Emotions are a part of being human. When we can look at our experience through the lens of "oh, this is what it's like to be human", then we can begin to normalize our experience. And when we normalize our experience, we create space for ourselves to do something different with the experience we're having.
