We Had To Recover This Stuck Excavator From A Lake Bottom!

We received a phone call from a local HOA that was attempting to do some lake bottom dredging and got an excavator stuck. We opted to use our NRC 20 ton wrecker for the recovery due to the limited access, but also for the powerful winching capabilities it offers for its compact size. The cold winter temps had some areas of the lake bed frozen solid, but the excavator was swallowed up in a mud pit. We were able to utilize a large tree on the hillside to redirect our line down to the excavator to provide an upward pull. With a little bit of ingenuity and problem solving, we were able to get the excavator recovered before it got frozen in the lake bottom.
