Both Houses of Parliament are set to function smoothly from today after a week-long standoff between the government and the Opposition ended in an agreement. Ahead of the session, leaders of the INDIA bloc are meeting at Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s office in Parliament. The opposition has indicated its willingness to cooperate to ensure smooth functioning in both houses.

Two Bills are expected to be tabled in the Lok Sabha – The Banking Laws (Amendment) Bill and The Railways (Amendment) Bill.
