Shaheedi Park offers guests a unique recreational space that allows them to unwind and immerse themselves in the country’s past. It has nearly 56,000 trees and shrubs of varieties like champa, ficus, syngonium, kachnar, to name a few. Built at a cost of approximately INR 15 crore, Shaheedi Park houses three galleries and nine sets featuring 93 2-D and 20 3-D sculptures. It even has a food kiosk and souvenir shop for visitors.

The artwork on show here was created by 10 artists and a team of 700 artisans over six months. They used 250 tonnes of scrap material including electric poles, old pipes, trucks, cars, angle iron, rickshaws and other metals to create the pieces that showcase famous freedom fighters and the freedom struggle. Personalities such as Mahatma Gandhi, Emperor Ashoka, Rani Laxmibai and Chanakya are represented here.

Along with these, the park also features installations, motifs and monuments, all placed throughout the area, to immortalise important events and eras in Indian history. It symbolises unity, diversity and the relentless spirit of the country’s freedom fighters.
