The discussion builds on Dr. Liu’s new book Adam Smith’s America: How a Scottish Philosopher Became an Icon of American Capitalism as well as Dr. Soll’s previous work Free Market: The History of an Idea and Dr. DeLong’s recent book Slouching Towards Utopia: The Economic History of the 20th Century.
