Strixhaven Draft Guide | Best Commons, Archetypes, and Tips for Paper and MTG Arena Drafts

Strixhaven Draft Guide time and in this guide I go through everything you need to know in the set. Starting with a quick overview, the mechanics, diving into what makes this set difficult to draft and how you can find your lane quickly. The Mystical Archive card slot makes things interesting, as do the Learn and Lesson cards. Each college is well supported, although some are more consistent and stronger than others.

Drafting in paper or on MTG Arena is also going to be tough, because reading signals about which college is open may not be as obvious since we have so many more gold cards. You are more likely to have someone drafting the same enemy color pair archetype than not, but if you can find that open lane that seems the best way to maximize card quality and the power of your deck. The format seems slower, but drafting is always fun to learn from and improve with - so good luck out there!
