Cut-Off the Source of High Humidity in Your Home

Описание к видео Cut-Off the Source of High Humidity in Your Home

As a home energy auditor, I have identified six common offenders for high humidity in a home.

High humidity in your home is a common problem that is not overly difficult to fix. It could lead to mold and unhealthy indoor living conditions.

Working as a certified contractor through the Building Performance Institute as a building analyst and envelope professional, I am well-educated on the many different systems that make up the whole of your comfort inside a home.

I understand why many intelligent, hard-working homeowners don't know where to look when problems like high humidity become overbearing inside a home. Typically, the problems are blamed on the air conditioner not working.

Learn from clear examples found in attics and crawl spaces in Maryland. The good news is that you don't have to endure torture to solve your problem. Don't make the mistake of spending a fortune on a sophisticated dehumidification system - you already have one!

Does your duct system run through an attic? Do you have an underinsulated crawl space with vents? Maybe you have a house with overhangs or a room above a poorly insulated garage ceiling.

There are many possible offenders, and once you identify the source of the problem, solutions are readily available.

Look for a TIP in problem 2 to show you how to determine the size of your AC. The number in the Model Number on the outside unit Serial Plate divisible by 12 is how many tons you have working for you.
