Dr. Mohamed Ezzat Al Atroush has received the Eng. Tarek Al Kasabi Award for Excellence in Civil Engineering (2025) 10th Edition, under the Geotechnical Engineering Track, for our research titled:
“Beyond the P-Y Method: A Review of Artificial Intelligence Approaches for Predicting the Lateral Capacity of Drilled Shafts in Clayey Soils.”

I would like to sincerely thank my co-authors Eng. Abdurhaman Abolela and Dr. Ezz El-Din Hemdan for their valuable contributions, and commitment throughout this study.

My deep appreciation also goes to the College of Engineering and Prince Sultan University for the endless support that was essential in completing this research and fostering a strong research environment.

I also extend my sincere thanks to the Civil Engineering Department at King Saud University for the highly professional and transparent organization of the competition and the award ceremony, and to Eng.
