In this vlog, I share the BTS of ending Stims and the egg retrieval surgery including my recovery process. These are things I wish I had known before I started the process as a working mom! Coordinating the surgery date with my own job was a challenge. This is a drop everything and go type of surgery. The date is unknown until 3 days prior so plan accordingly.

I also discuss how many embryos matured and reveal the results of the genetic testing, including the gender of the healthy embryos.

For reference, I’m a 38-year-old dentist dealing with secondary infertility, possibly due to an autoimmune condition. I have a 4-year-old toddler and experienced the loss of my second baby at 21 weeks gestation. After trying for over a year, we decided to move forward with IVF.

This vlog is an honest look at the process, timeline, cost, and what I’ve learned along the way.
