Flood Ravaged Rivers Community On Road To Recovery | Community Report

Omoku, the Council Headquarters of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area (ONELGA), isone of the 23 local government areas in Rivers State.

The agrarian community was ravaged by flooding in 2022. The community suffered massively from the devastating effects of the flood which almost grounded activities to a halt in the area.

Residents faced displacement, insecurity, illnesses and heavy flooding due to the overflow of water from Cameroon’s Lagdo Dam.
