Inspired by a chance meeting with U2’s Bono and The Edge at the Fontainebleau in Las Vegas, “One Good Thing” is about being willing to find the best in others regardless of conflict or differences of opinions. Bono and Aloe bonded over stories of using music for activism and their mutual admiration of the late great Harry Belafonte. Bono recanted a story from Harry where Martin Luther King Jr emplored him to find ‘one good thing’ about Bobby Kennedy to win his support in the movement for civil rights. Harry obliged this earnest request, and made a lifelong friend. Unfortunately, Kennedy's time was cut short, and according to Harry, at the time of his death, there was no greater ally to the civil rights movement.

Stand Together is Aloe Blacc’s powerful exploration of unity, connection, and humanity.
