The American author Agnes Newton Keith wrote of her experiences in a Japanese prison camp during World War II in her book Three Came Home. In the prison camp for women, she met many Catholic nuns captured during the war. Agnes was not a Catholic but observed some profound truths about these sisters that is worth pondering on in our times.
