BLACK BEAN BURGERS! (Vegan/Gluten-free Full Recipe)

HAPPY PRIDE Y’ALL!!!! (SEE BELOW RECIPE FOR LIST OF PRIDE + LGBTQIA+ RESOURCES THAT ASHLEY MENTIONS)

Ingredients: (serves 4-6)
2 cans black beans, rinsed and drained
1 onion, minced
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 carrots, shredded
1/2 cup instant oats
Tamari, to taste
1 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon coriander
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon TAJIN!!! (we love! #tajinit)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Optional: Vegan/Gluten-free Burger buns and toppings of your choice, or place your burger atop a bed of salad greens!

Instructions:
1. Preheat your big gay oven to 375°F (190°C). (Or you can fry in a pan--but you know, calories, gurl.)
2. In a large bowl, mash the black beans with a fork…OR YOUR DANG HANDS. IN WHITE PANTS!
3. Add the minced onion, minced garlic, shredded carrots, and instant oats to the bowl.
4. Add a kick of Tajin, then the Tamari and all of the seasonings to the bowl.
5. Mix all ingredients until well combined like the world FREAKIN' SHOULD BE.
6. Shape the mixture into 4-6 rainbow patties.
7. Place in freezer for 30-40 minutes to set
8. (D:Clean your Kitchen please, Ashley, while waiting for the burgers to set) 😂😂😂 (A: Gurrrrl nobody wants to watch yo’ dirty ol’ kitchen!! Gah!!!)
9. Place the patties on a baking sheet lined with brightly-colored parchment paper.
10. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the burgers are cooked through and lightly browned on the outside.
11. Serve your big gay burgers on buns with your favorite toppings, such as avocado, lettuce, tomato, and vegan cheese. Enjoy! Sashay!
