Rudradhari Temple and Waterfall with Mr. Manwesh Joshi | Near Kausani, Almora

Описание к видео Rudradhari Temple and Waterfall with Mr. Manwesh Joshi | Near Kausani, Almora

We had the fortune of meeting Mr. Manwesh Joshi, a government authorised tourist guide at Kantali Village near Kausani.
We trekked to Rudradhari Temple from Kantali.
Mr. Joshi told us about the flora and fauna as well as about the socio-cultural, economic and historical facts about the region. He is well versed in English and Hindi , and he understands the environmental concerns of the region.
In this video we were accompanied by Mr. Joshi's insight into the forest areas , and life of the local people. He also recommended us local food like Bhatt Ki Churkani and Mandua Roti.

The trek is moderate but deep inside the Kumaun forests. Pine trees are abundant in the region. We crossed small rivulets, and the ascent is gradual. We took a detour to a place called Talli Rajju ( a small grazing ground). The steep ascent took our breath away but the view of the hills and forests were beautiful.
We took a dip in the Kosi river on our way back to Kantali and relished local food.

Mr. Joshi helped us and we enjoyed his company. The forest walk was done on a leisurely pace, no hurries. If you visit Rudradhari Temple you can contact Mr. Manwesh Joshi at Kantali.
