Simple Sounds in Simple Places Part 2 - Placitas, NM

This was filmed on Friday, October 2nd on a particularly still, quiet morning. You can see the mic there recording the "natural" sounds, but I couldn't believe how silent it was. A little bit eerie.

This particular spot is off a beautiful drive on a five-mile long dirt road called Forest Loop Road near Placitas, NM. Behind me is the Sandia Mountains and foothills. If you look closely you can see patches of yellow near the crest where the trees are beginning to change color.

These videos are a wonderful head-clearing time, as well as an exercise in musical restraint. Being in such vast, beautiful scenery makes the minimalism much more powerful in my mind.
