Here's a quick and easy guide for my Omen Owners who will eventually need to replace their thermal interface material.. It's recommended to replace your TIM once per year depending on the factory paste used and ambient temps/climate. This applies to laptops that sat in a warehouse for months/years before taking ownership. Paste dries over time, regardless of laptop use.
