She will deliver the message of how an individual can start participating in Zero Waste program to change the environmental problem that we are confronting.

Ms. Akira Sakano is the Chair of the Board of the Directors of the Zero Waste Academy Japan. Zero Waste Academy Japan - a non-profit organization established in 2005, driving the Zero Waste policy implementation and advocacy. It is based in Kamikatsu, the first local community declared for the Zero Waste ambition in Japan, achieving almost 80% of its waste put into a recycling.
