About the song:
This tune written over a decade ago, back when I first moved to Humboldt, about a crew of folks that hung out every day beneath a big walnut tree on J Street in Arcata, a few blocks from where I was living at the time. The lyrics trace some of the things I figure they would talk about: food, shelter, gossip, police harassment, and the occasional transcendental vision...
