NASA is set to make history with the Artemis II mission — the first crewed journey to the Moon in more than 50 years.
Scheduled for early 2026, Artemis II will launch aboard the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket from Kennedy Space Center.
The Orion spacecraft will carry four astronauts — Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen — on a 10-day lunar flyby mission.

This marks humanity’s return to deep space exploration since Apollo 17 in 1972.
The mission highlights international cooperation and sets the stage for future lunar landings under the Artemis program.
