Today I want to take a look at how to convert your audio file to a MIDI file. Now, I know there are techniques inside of logic that help you do this, but we're going to take it one step further. There's a plugin from Samplab that actually does this in an interesting way. It's not simply just taking one audio file and making it into a MIDI file it's a stems creator too. So, what it's able to do is actually take an audio file, split it into stems, and then make MIDI files for each one of those stems. Best of all, it actually has a very usable free version.
