From the March 18, 1970 episode of his TV show. Cash praises the kids protesting the Vietnam War (in front of a country/western audience at the Grand Ol' Opry!), disavows violence, affirms the First Amendment, then sings a recently-composed song that turns these disparate elements into Art. Pity this song is as resonant today as it was then, but I suppose that's the nature of Truth; it's not always pretty.
