I hop into the water by Cobalt Coastlands and try catching Pokemon there. The slowdown mechanic does help somewhat, but aiming for small fish and moving targets in general is annoying. I anage to catch a Mantyke as well as some Shellos one of the small islands off the coast. I also eventually catch a Mantine after evolving Kirlia into Gardevoir and on the other side of the cove catch a Tentacool and Tentacruel and find a cave that's empty.. For now.

I land in the NE and try to catch an Alpha Empoleon but run off at night to find a nearby Wisp. I manage to snab a Finneon and catch an Alpha Gastrodon, which gives Goomy enough experience to finally evolve into a Hisuian Sliggoo.

I head back to the coast and catch Sealeo and some Toxicroak. I also try scaling the cliffs after looping arounf, but it doesn't look viable yet. A Piplup also runs away. I head to the target island and catch a Lumineon on the way.

The island is volcanic, so has a lot of fire types and rock/ground types.
I catch a Magmar and then head back for a Space-Time distortion.
I don't stay there long, just taking out an Alpha Walrein and using XP candy on Sliggoo.

I hand in the survey and head back to Jubilife, taking on a request and upgrading my satchel with money I have. There's more requests to take on at the HQ again, too. There's one in the village for a lady who wants to see a Finneon, so I do that instantly.

There's a couple more in the villafe, and there's a new candy shop selling experience candies, who also has a request.

With Basculegion, I can now explore the rest of the Obsidian FIeldlands,
