HBO Comedy Hour presents: Joe Piscopo in Concert - 1990

The infamous performance of the special "Joe Piscopo in Concert" filmed live at UCLA in 1990 for the "HBO Comedy Hour". This is lost media as you cannot find this anywhere. This was our family's personally recorded copy from HBO in 1990 that I stumbled across. The tracking is the best that I could get it and yes, it is recorded in mono because the VCR is an El Cheapo that is mono only. If I ever stumble upon a better VCR, I will try to make a better rip.

So many layers to unpack here, from Joe constantly humblebragging about how buff he is by showing himself on the cover of "Muscle and Fitness" and his terrible "Buff Piscopo" cartoon and the phony "on the level" steroid test. Joe bragging about how hot Kimberly is... Kimberly Driscoll, who was Joe's family's nanny that he left his wife for only for him to (poorly) And to have to gall to then say "I went through hell in a custody battle" which leads to him singing Springsteen while a clip of his son Joey plays in the background.

That's without saying how a lot of his comedy aged poorly with his impressions of Richard Simmons, Michael Jackson and the Fine Young Cannibals...Or his "rap" impressions

Then there's Gabe Green. He ended up becoming a total mess and a gambling addict and was even on "Intervention" and is worth a watch.
