Trains at Perth, HML - 17/9/19

Welcome to the latest episode of Big Trip! Today I am at Perth on the Highland Main Line where services are seen by ScotRail only.

This station was rather magnificent and to me is a quieter version of Preston. Perth had a lot of different vantage points so is a station with quite good flexibility when trains are due at the same time. The old shed architecture makes the station look a lot like that of Preston which is why I compared the two but the station is so big yet has so many quiet moments, it almost feels abandoned even though it isn't. The variety on show was typical and a surprising freight turned up which I certainly did not expect. Overall, this station is lovely and goes down as the most peaceful station I've ever been to and that's really saying something!
