Oxytetracycline USP
Product Description:
Renamycin LA injectable solution is a unique Long Acting broad sppectrum injectable
formulation containg 200 mg oxytracycline per ml. the uniwue formulation provides sustained
oxytetracycline blood levels over a three to five days peroid in Cattle Buffaloes,
sheep, Goats and Deer following a single intramuscular injection at 1ml/10 kg body weigth
(20 mg/kg body weigth)
Renamycin LA is a sterile, clear, stable ready to solution.
Renamycin LA displays remarkably good pysical Properties in terms of stability, viscosity
and syringeability.
Renamycin LA oxytetracycline is a broad spectrum antibiotic highly active agains a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative organisms including most of the pathogenic
bacteria in livestock.
INDICATIONS:
Generally Renamycin LA is recommended wherever prolinged antibiotic therapy or prophylxis is
indicated and where for practical, economic of veterinary reason frepuent animal handling is not feasile.
Cattle buffaloes:
For the treatment of anaplasmosis, pneumoia, leptospirosis, foot root diphtheria systemic mstitis black leg, bacterial enteritis, avtionbaclillosis, navel ill, joint ill, heart water,
dermatophilosis, wound infections, navel ill, joint ill, grart water, dermatophilosis,
wound nifections and pink eye. aid in the control or prevention of sipping fever pneumonia,
post operative and post parturient infectios.
Goats:
For the treatment of pneumonia, systemic mastitis, foot rot mycoplasmosis, heart water and wound infectons.
ADMINISTRATION & dOSAGE:
Renamycin LA injectable solution is designed for deep intramuscular injection at the single dose rate of 1ml per 10kg body weigth of cattle, Buffaloes, Sheep and goats thus providing 20mg Renamycin per dg body weight. Intramuscular injections should be made deep into the fleshy part of the muscle susch as the rump, thigh or neck using a needle of suitable gauge (16 gauge ) and length (minimum 3.75cm) In Cattle not more than 10ml the should be injected at any one site. For volume greater than 10ml the dose should be divided and administered in seperate sites.
In Poultry and Rabbits administer 0.25ml/kg body weight by subcutaneous injection at one site.
Renamykcin LA is used at the following recommended dose rates:
Cattle, Buffaloes, Sheep, Goats:
single dose treatment of 1ml/kg body weight (50mg/kg wright). Normally single treatment will be sufficient for susceptible disease conditions. Severe infections may require re-treatment at three to five days following initial injection.
WARNING/PRECAUTION:
Use only in Cattle, Buffaloes, Sheep, Goats, Deer, Poultry and Rabbit.
Store in a cool and dry place, away from light and Children.
Packing:
Renamycin LA injectable solution is available in 10ml and 100ml vial. Each ml containing 200 mg Oxytetracycline base.
