This error typically occurs due to restrictive Group Policy settings or insufficient permissions. To fix it, open Run (Win + R), type gpedit.msc, and navigate to Computer Configuration , Administrative Templates , Windows Components , Windows Installer. Set Disable Windows Installer to Not Configured. If using Registry Editor, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer and delete or modify the DisableMSI value to 0. Ensure you have administrative privileges and temporarily disable any third-party antivirus that might be blocking the installation.
