This place is home to leopards, nilgai, blackbuck, jungle cats, porcupines, golden jackals, and over 193 species of birds, plus 80+ types of butterflies and tons of medicinal plants. The star attraction? The stunning crystal-clear Neeli Jheel (Blue Lake) – a former mining quarry turned natural wonder! 😍 Perfect for nature walks, birdwatching, and peaceful vibes.
Quick History: Declared a sanctuary in 1986 (with Bhatti area added in 1991), it was once a mining zone – now it’s a thriving biodiversity hotspot and a key part of the Sariska-to-Delhi leopard corridor!
How to Reach + Nearest Metro:
• Closest Metro Stations: Tughlakabad (Violet Line) or Badarpur – just 10-15 mins by auto/cab from there.
• Address: Shooting Range Road, Asola, South Delhi.
• Timings: Usually 7 AM to 4-5 PM (closed on Mondays in some cases – double-check on official site or gate).
• Entry Fee: Approx. ₹100 (kids under 5 free). Best time: Early mornings or winters for amazing bird sightings & cool weather!
