Steel angle fabrication for detail components like clip angles are addressed with the innovative A Series angle lines from FICEP. Several unique innovative features have been incorporated into this product to make is well suited for the typical structural steel fabricator. Up to six different quick change punch press assemblies can be furnished to accommodate different hole size requirements without a tool change. When it is necessary to change the tool in one of the punch press assemblies the inner c-frame tool holder can be removed and replaced in seconds.

A uniquely designed roller feed drive and measuring system addresses the typical norms found in structural steel fabrication. The FICEP roller feed system floats both vertically and horizontally to address typical mill tolerance deviations during the feeding and measuring process. The A Series angle lines incorporate two separate roller feed systems to transport the stock material up to the hydraulic shear to maximize material utilization.

Additional capabilities such as part marking can be integrated into the line. This can be achieved with either a system of index able cartridges each containing multiple characters or a fully programmable marking press.

As an option the A Series angle lines can be equipped with multi function press that can be equipped with quick change tooling for punching large holes or repetitive multiple holes patterns, cartridge style marking and notching. The ability to integrate this capability into the angle line enables the line to start with a stock length and unload a finished part that is punched, marked, notched and sheared to length without any manual functions.

The systems productivity can be further enhanced with the addition of material handling automation for stock loading and the discharge of finished parts.
