In 2019, African Robots lead artist Ralph Borland was selected for a residency in South Korea leading to an exhibition at the International Symposium of Electronic Arts (ISEA2019) at the Asia Culture Centre in Gwangju. Ralph applied the African Robots model for research and collaboration to create the work 'Anthrophagic Octopus' with local artist Lee Ki Sung, depicting the local octopus Nakji, which is commonly eaten.
